The start date for this league is Wednesday, May 3rd. Each match is 1 hour. A ratings evening will be conducted early in the season to best rate players (according to the NTRP rating system) in order to make the matches competitive and of comparable skill level.

This is a very popular doubles event and has a very high participation rate from the members. A maximum of 50 regular players will be able to participate, but an unlimited number of substitutes can participate. Play will take place from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. There will be no formal games during the 10 to 11 time-slot this year.  

The season is divided into 3 sessions - Spring, Summer and Fall:

Spring	May - June	6 - 10 pm
Summer	July - August	6 - 10 pm
Fall	September/half of October	6 - 10 pm

You may also register as a Substitute ONLY for any session.

You must sign up to play in this league. The levels vary from beginners to advanced. You will play with those of a similar level and the level immediately below or above. If you do not have a partner you will be matched up with another member.

If you are not able to play at your scheduled time, it is your responsibility to find a replacement either by contacting the players on the substitution list OR by asking one of the players playing before or after your court time to play another hour.

For each session a weekly schedule is prepared listing teams, courts and start times. Schedules are emailed prior to the first evening. They are also posted on the bulletin board in front of the courts.

HOUSE LEAGUE RULES

PLEASE NOTE: FAILURE TO PROVIDE A SUB WILL MEAN REMOVAL FROM THE REGULAR PLAY SCHEDULE AND PLACEMENT ON SUB LIST.

In order for the Ladies Wednesday House League (HL) to be successful and provide a good experience for everyone, and to minimize complaints, we have developed some rules that we would like you to please follow.

1. Check the schedule to find out when you are expected to play. Also check  email regularly as cancellation due to weather can be as late as 20 - 30  minute’s notice before games. Please be punctual, as we only have one-hour timeslots.
   
2. It is your responsibility to find a sub if you are unable to play.  This year we do not have a sub list as the registrant list is lower than usual. 
3. When looking for a sub, please try to find someone of a similar levels to yours. Many players are interested in playing a double on any given night. Target a small group of players on the schedule by using the contact list. PLEASE do not send out email requests to the whole group, as it clogs the airwaves. 
4. If you are unsuccessful in finding a sub, please contact the other three players directly to work it out. With the Court booking system, you may be able to find another time that week for your game to take place. 
5. Please notify the HL convenors if there is a “no-show” on your court, so the problem can be rectified in the future.
6. We play full deuces. This is a fun league, so scores are fortunately all forgotten at the end of each night! The most important thing is to have lots of fun!!!!!
